This course is divided into 4 units:

Unit 1: Marketing, people

This unit enables you to understand how businesses identify
opportunities and to explore how businesses focus on developing a
competitive advantage through interacting with customers.

Unit 2: Marketing, people

This unit enables you to develop an understanding of raising
and managing finance, and measuring business performance.
It outlines the importance of using resources efficiently within a
business to ensure that goods or services can be delivered
effectively and efficiently, and to a high quality.

Unit 3: Business Decisions and Strategy

This unit moves from functions to strategy, enabling you to
develop your understanding of the core concepts and to take a
strategic view of business opportunities and issues. You will
analyse corporate objectives and strategy against financial and
non-financial performance measures and how businesses grow,
and develop an understanding of the impact of external influences

Unit 4: Global Business

You will investigate businesses that trade on a global scale and
explore their reasons for doing so. You will develop an
understanding of the globally competitive environment and
consider the ethical and moral dimensions of global business
activities.

The Pearson Edexcel International A-Level Business qualification is gained once all 4 exam papers are successfully completed. These exams are administered by Pearson Edexcel and assessment centre details will be included with your course, as well as practice papers so that you are more than prepared for your assessments. You will need to contact your local examination centre to work through your exam requirements.

In addition, there will be a number of tutor marked assessments (TMAs) to ensure that you have a thorough understanding of the course materials, with the tutor sending comments to guide you through any areas of potential difficulty, as well as a range of self-assessments that are indicators that you understand the materials as you work through them. These are for your own information, and do not need to be shown to your course tutor

The course is primarily an online course using a Learning Management System (LMS).

The online course has many features that cannot be printed such as embedded videos, forums and interactive tests.

The course includes Tutor Marked Assessments which you access and submit through the online system.
