A Level Geography covers contemporary geographical issues as well as physical and human geography, builds geographical skills and explores fieldwork. The course deals with environmental impact as well as management and sustainability. You will also build on your statistical skills and learn how to analyse and evaluate feedback.
Upon successful completion of the exam and practical assessments (as administered by AQA), you will have achieved an internationally recognised AQA A Level Geography.

Upon successful completion of the exam and practical assessments (as
administered by CIE), you will have achieved an internationally recognised CIE A
Level Geography.
The CIE A level in geography has an alternative to fieldwork paper. This means that
instead of doing a fieldwork investigation you can sit an extra paper in an exam
centre .

- You will develop fieldwork skills if you choose to do the fieldwork.
- You will have a wide choice of topics for fieldwork investigations and evaluation
- Wpapers, again if you choose the fieldwork option.
- You will develop a passion for geographical interests and impacts.
- Provide a solid base for study at higher education level.

Advanced Human Geography Options (choice of 2)
- Production, location and change
- Environmental management

The CIE A Level Geography qualification is gained once all the exam papers are
successfully completed. In the CIE exams you can choose to do an extra paper
instead of fieldwork. These exams are administered by CIE and assessment centre
details will be included with your course, as well as practice papers so that you are
more than prepared for your assessments. You will need to contact your local
examination centre to work through your exam requirements.
In addition, there will be a number of tutor marked assessments (TMAs) to ensure
that you have a thorough understanding of the course materials, with the tutor
sending comments to guide you through any areas of potential difficulty, as well as
a range of self-assessments that are indicators that you understand the materials as
you work through them. These are for your own information, and do not need to be
shown to your course tutor.
Online
The course is primarily an online course using a Learning Management System (LMS).
The online course has many features that cannot be printed such as embedded videos, forums and interactive tests.
The course includes Tutor Marked Assessments which you access and submit through the online system.
Tutor support:
