Inside the course

Throughout the course, you will engage with the content through reading, video (if available), and various activities and assessments. Each course includes all assessments, allowing you to check your understanding as you progress. At the end of each module/unit you complete an assessment test — these are automatically graded, giving you immediate feedback.

Certificate

Once you complete the full reading, video (if available), all activities and assessments, and the multiple-choice exam/quiz, the system generates a course completion certificate. It is considered across all industries that CPD points, units and credits all relate to the same thing — CPD Hours. CPD Hours is the time a delegate spends in "active learning" — the actual time spent learning something relevant to their Continuing Professional Development objectives. For example: a 1-day accredited CPD training course running 9am–5pm with a 1-hour lunch break would count as 7 CPD Hours.

It is estimated that 95% of all professional bodies use CPD Hours as their measure, and where the terms CPD points, units or credits are used, these are typically in a 1:1 ratio with CPD Hours — meaning 1 CPD point typically equals 1 CPD Hour.
